Description
“Stop Holding Back” is a dynamic call to action created by San Diego artist Ann Golumbuk. Women have been told for centuries to take up less space, to downplay their successes, and to quietly fit into roles made for them. This staggering mixed media piece defies a tradition of
holding back and galvanizes women to own their individual value and worth.
In this piece, I defy the tradition of holding back and instead galvanize women to own their own individual value and worth. The visual push and pull of this work allows the viewer to empathize with the disorientation of societal pressures on women and the need to break down these barriers.
